Sudhir Nath passes away

Dr. Sudhir Nath, who was a resident of Twin Cities for over two decades, left for heavenly abode on January 5, 2023, at the age of 73, while he was visiting Kolkata. He is survived by his daughter in India.

Dr. Nath came to Canada from Bangladesh in 1978, then moved to Colorado, USA in 1990 and eventually settled in Blaine, Minnesota from 1997. After he completed his master’s in mathematics in Bangladesh, he traveled multiple countries then earned his PhD in Colorado. He had been working in Wells Fargo in Minnesota until he retired in September 2022.

He was a dedicated community volunteer and volunteered for IAM (India Association of Minnesota) and BAM (Bengali Association of Minnesota) events over the years. He served as the Treasurer in the BAM Executive Committee from 2015 to 2016 and as Board of Director in India Association of Minnesota.

He volunteered as mathematics tutor in USA and remotely in India. He loved gardening and growing vegetables. He enjoyed sharing the produce from his garden with the neighbors and friends. He was a soft spoken, generous, kind, and loving person.
